Keep the Kids Hydrated – Serve Them Herbal Tea

I LOVE this tea…

And more importantly, Emily loves this tea!

I just picked some up in the grocery store today. I watered it down quite a bit from its initial directions. The directions call for four tea bags in two cups of boiling water and then another 2 cups of ice. I actually used a total of eight cups of water, two of boiling and then six more after the tea had steeped. It has a light taste, reminiscent of the Kool-Aid other kids had in their houses as I was growing up and my own mother refused to buy (I never ate Wonder bread either!).

As the weather warms, this is an excellent tea to consider serving for yourself and those thirsty kids. Left undiluted, you could even make refreshing ice pops out of it!

For those of you who have not heard of stevia, the herb that is used to sweeten this tea, you are in for a treat. Safe for diabetics, calorie-free, and all-natural, it is the new sweetening champ.
